The blood test looks for antibodies from a small sample of blood taken from a finger prick collection kit. Once the sample is returned to the lab in the pre-paid envelope, the results are ready within just 4 hours.

First symptoms of syphilis normally include painless sores in the infected are, followed by a period of not symptoms. The next phase normally involves general feeling of being unwell.
